Barbra Streisand Fundraiser Performer For Obama

Barbra Streisand
Oscar-winning singer and actress, Barbra Streisand, was to perform Tuesday night on Obama's behalf in Beverly Hills, California. Streisand was to be the headline performer of a dinner reception costing $ 28, 500 a person followed by Streisand's later event at $ 2, 500 a ticket.


The fundraiser prompted Obama' s Republican rival to say:

"He talks about siding with the people-siding with the people-just before he flew of the Hollywood for a fundraiser with Barbra Streisand and his celebrity friends," McCain said at a rally in Vienna, Ohio. "Let me tell you, my friends. There's no place I would rather be than here with the working men and women of Ohio."
