Daniel Day-Lewis Wins

Critics' Award named Daniel Day-Lewis as 'Best Actor' for his brilliant performance in "There Will Be Blood." The movie took top honors from the national society of Film Critics aside from the best actor category.

The movie also wins the best picture and best director for Paul Thomas Anderson. The good showing of the movie put the epic drama in solid contention for next month's Oscar's

Critics' Awards are important in helping build momentum heading in the world's top film awards, Academy and Oscars, given out in final Sunday in February by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
