Madonna And Ritchie Granted Preliminary Divorce

After eight years of marriage and on the grounds of unreasonable behavior, Madonna and British husband Guy Ritchie were granted a “quickie” divorce in a London Court.
The court hearing reportedly lasted barely a minute with neither the couple nor their lawyers present. Madonna and Ritchie were granted a decree nisi, the first of two stages of divorce. After six weeks, the divorce can become final with the granting of a decree absolute. The case-Ciccone ML VS Ritchie GS was dealt with District Judge Caroline Reid at the High Court’s Family Division.
